Scarf Set

So, I crocheted this scarf set for myself.  I had almost a full skein of the darker green color left from Natalie's baby blanket, so why not use it?  :)

I followed this pattern for the infinity scarf, but did the repeat in row 1 three times, for a total of 4 shells.
I had to have a headband to go with it, of course!  Here is the front and the back:

I followed this pattern for the headband, but used the scarf pattern for the "pattern row" that it talks about.  I only did the repeat once for the pattern row, giving me 3 shells.  I used this pattern for the flower.
To finish off the set, I made fingerless gloves.  I kind of had to make this pattern up!  I'll explain it all after the picture (if you're interested... if not, you can skip to the end. ha!).

I used an I hook.

Cuff:
Ch 19
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook, sc in each stitch across. Ch 1, turn. (18 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in back loop of each sc across. Ch 1, turn. (18 sc)
Repeat row 2 until you have 28 rows total, including the first row.

For the body, you work along the side of the cuff:
Row 1: Ch 1, sc across side of cuff until 31 sc total. Ch. 1, turn.
Row 2: Follow row 3 of the scarf pattern, but repeat until you have 5 shells total.
Row 3: Follow row 2 of scarf pattern, adding 2 repeats.
Rows 4 & 5: Repeat rows 2 & 3.
Row 6: Repeat row 2, but skip 4th shell (for left hand) or second shell (for right hand) and ch 5 instead of that shell.
Row 7: Repeat row 3.
Rows 8-10: Repeat rows 2, 3, and 2.

Fasten off leaving a long tail.  Use the tail to whip stitch all the way down the sides. Fasten off.

Attach yarn to thumb hole with slst. Ch 3. 12 dc around thumb hole. Slst to top of ch 3. Fasten off.

There you have it!  What do you think?
