Hello, Summer!

We bought a new grill yesterday!  It actually took a lot longer than I thought it would.  As it turns out, a grill won't fit into a Toyota Echo...  who'd have thought?  :-P  So we rented a truck from Lowe's for $20 so that we could drive the grill back to our house.

After getting the truck back to the store, we went shopping for the necessary items to grill some STEAK.  It was fantastic, by the way!  Travis is good with a grill.  :)

We were able to watch the Rangers game while we grilled, too.  "We" meaning Travis grilled and I watched.  I proudly sported my Hamilton jersey in honor of his return to the major leagues last night.

Now, if only the evenings didn't get so cold out here.....

Ocean Beach

After the zoo yesterday, we decided to stop across the street and check out Ocean Beach before heading home.  It was the first time I've walked along a beach of the Pacific Ocean.  It was cold, but beautiful!

We decided to see how many almost perfect sand dollars we could find.  We found 2.

The water and sand were gorgeous with the sun reflecting off of them!

Does anyone know what these birds are?  I've never seen them before!

The San Francisco Zoo

Travis had today off work, so we decided to enjoy the nice weather and go to the San Francisco Zoo.  We've talked about going out there before, but it was always just a little too cold for our tastes.  Today, the high in San Francisco was around 70 with nothing but sun all day...  or so the weather was predicted.  As it turns out, it wasn't too different from that.  When we were driving toward San Fran, we could see the Golden Gate Bridge across the Bay.  We had sun and blue skies everywhere, except the most amazing cloud hung low in the sky right over the bridge, covering the top of it.  It was beautiful!  Unfortunately, that same cloud decided to sit over the zoo, too.  There was no rain, but very little sun and some chilly wind.  We had a great time, though!  And the cloud decided to disappear right before we left the zoo.  haha

As you know, I love taking pictures.  Here are some of my favorite pics from our first trip to the San Francisco Zoo!

This may be my favorite picture of the day.  :)

This one decided to walk right up to us!  Way cool.  :)

Yes, we are giraffes.  Yes, we are awesome.

Travis took this picture.  This is a baby anteater and its mother.  He caught it with its tongue out!   We loved watching that happen.  It was very cool/weird.  :)
This was definitely the most difficult picture for me to capture!  This sheep did NOT want to cooperate!  But I got what I wanted in the end.  :-P
