Castello di Amorosa Winery

My best friend Marla and her husband Antonio came to visit us for Thanksgiving.  It was so wonderful to be able to spend the holiday with them!  We took them to do some sightseeing in the area most of the days they were here (of course we spent all Thanksgiving day cooking and eating).

One of the places we went was Napa Valley (of course), and it was beautiful!  It was my first time to see Napa in the fall, and the leaves were gorgeous shades of red and yellow.  We visited the Castello di Amorosa Winery, and it was so fun!  Definitely the best winery tour we've been on so far out here.  We were able to see several of the castle's rooms, including where they make the wine and the underground caves.  (Complete with torture chamber!)  Here are some pictures from our day there:

- - Please note that these pictures are not necessarily in the order that I took them.  The sun is starting to set pretty early out here, and our tour lasted almost 2 hours.  :) - -

Waiting for the tour to start!

The views from and around the castle.
Like I said, it was BEAUTIFUL out there!  If you ever get the chance, you should come visit us in the fall and we'll take you to Napa Valley.  :)
